Deer in the Headlights

This exercise will improve your ability to isolate and engage your gluteal muscles.

  • Lie on your back and place one hand under each buttock. Contract one side and hold for 5 seconds without contracting other muscles of the thigh, back or abdomen.
  • Repeat on the right side and then try to contract both sides together.
  • Continue this cycle for 1-2 minutes.
